Maintenance Underway Next Week on US 550 North of Durango and SH 141 in Montrose County

April 8, 2011 - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - Travelers will encounter some delays; CDOT urges going Slow for the Cone Zone!

LA PLATA/SAN JUAN/OURAY/MONTROSE COUNTIES – Colorado Department of Transportation maintenance crews will be addressing some of the impacts of winter next week on the Million Dollar Highway (US 550 between Durango and Ouray) and on SH 141 in Montrose County. Work will include the sealing of cracks in the pavement, sign and delineator repairs and fence maintenance. The work that will impact traffic—pavement crack sealing—will be done at the following locations/days:

EXPECT UP TO 15-MINUTE DELAYS AT THESE LOCATIONS BETWEEN 8 AM AND 4:30 PM:

Monday through Friday:              US 550, MP 58 to 61 (Molas Pass)

Tuesday through Thursday:          US 550, MP 69 to 75 (Silverton to south side of Red Mtn. Pass)

Tuesday and Wednesday:             SH 141, MP 61 to 64 (North of Naturita,  Montrose County)

Thursday and Friday:                   SH 141, MP 84 to 88 (North of Uravan, Montrose County)
