Paving on State Highway 9 Tomorrow

July 5, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SUMMIT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be paving a segment of State Highway 9 near Breckenridge on Wednesday, July 6.

Approximately ½ mile is being resurfaced, just south of Farmers Corner, near the Agape Outpost.  Operations begin at 6:30 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m.  Initially, traffic shifts will be employed through the work zone to maintain traffic flow.  However, if conditions require traffic stops, flaggers will alternate northbound and southbound traffic, with stops up to 10 minutes.

The road is being resurfaced with 1 ½ inches of asphalt, preventing additional surface deterioration and helping to preserve the road base.
