Maintenance near Eisenhower Tunnel next week

August 12, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SUMMIT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be performing maintenance operations at various locations along Interstate 70 between Silverthorne and the Eisenhower Tunnel next week.

Unless noted, all work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m.:

  • Monday, August 15 – left lane closed eastbound for culvert cleaning – mile 207 to 208

(Culvert cleaning clears debris, allows water to free flow underneath the highway, avoiding possible water build-up below the traffic lanes)

  • Tuesday, August 16 – right lane closed westbound from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for guardrail repair – mile 207
  • Wednesday, August 17 – right lane closed eastbound for slope repairs – mile 208
  • Thursday, August 18 – left lane closed eastbound for culvert repairs – mile 208 to 210

CDOT is reminding motorists to please obey all road signs and flaggers, and to Slow for the Cone Zone.
