Paving on I-70 Near Eisenhower Tunnel Next Week

August 4, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SUMMIT COUNTY – Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) maintenance crews will be paving westbound Interstate 70, about one mile west of the Eisenhower Tunnel (mile 212), on Monday, August 8.

Beginning at 6:30 a.m., traffic will be reduced to a single lane, with the center and left lanes closed to smooth a “bump” in the road caused by shifting soil during the spring and summer.  At 9 a.m., both lanes reopen and the right lane will be closed.  It is scheduled to reopen at noon.

CDOT is reminding motorists to please obey all road signs and flaggers, and to Slow for the Cone Zone.
