Paving on I-70 Tomorrow

August 17, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SUMMIT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is paving a short segment of Interstate 70 in the Silverthorne area on Thursday August 18.

From 7 a.m. to noon, the right lane of eastbound I-70 will be closed for approximately 1/5 of a mile, just west of the Silverthorne Interchange.  Drivers should expect some slowing or possible delays through the area.

The resurfacing prevents surface deterioration, extending the service life of the roadway.

Lane closure information about this and other projects is available at or by calling 511.  To receive project updates via e-mail, visit and click on the cell-phone icon in the upper right-hand corner.  The link takes you to a list of items you can subscribe to, including I-70 West, Denver to Glenwood Springs.
