Springfield Railroad Project Delayed Again

October 17, 2011 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - SPRINGFIELD, CO. – The BNSF Railway has rescheduled its track replacement project for next week. Work originally was scheduled to take place this Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday, October 25, at approximately 6 a.m., Main Street (U.S. 287) will be closed to through traffic for approximately ½ mile as the BNSF Railway replaces the tracks crossing the highway between 13^th and 15^th avenues at the south end of Springfield. All traffic will be detoured around the closure via Colorado Street, one block west of Main.

The highway is expected to reopen to through traffic by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26.

Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
