Upcoming Maintenance Projects in Pikes Peak Area

November 28, 2011 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region2 - The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be performing maintenance operations on Interstate 25 between North and South Academy Boulevard this week.

Monday, November 28, through Wednesday, November 30: Lane closures at various locations on northbound and southbound I-25, between North Academy Boulevard and Circle Drive/Lake Avenue for crack sealing.  Work hours are 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.  This is a mobile operation and some slowing should be anticipated through the work zone

Crack sealing provides several benefits to the roadway surface: seals cracks, prevents water intrusion and pavement deterioration, and extends the life of the pavement for a few years.

Tuesday, November 29, and Wednesday, November 30: Right lane closed on northbound I-25 at South Academy Boulevard on Tuesday; left lane closed on Wednesday, for bridge deck repairs.  Work hours are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Delays are possible through the area.

These repairs are designed to extend the service life of the bridge deck for an additional three to five years.

Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
