New Date Due to Weather - New Pedestrian Walkway at I-25 & Fillmore Street

February 23, 2016 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - Night Closures on Fillmore Street at Interstate 25 in effect overnight tomorrow while crews install new pedestrian configuration

COLORADO SPRINGS – Beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, intermittent single lane closures can be expected between the on- and off-ramps on the Fillmore Street Bridge at Interstate 25, while crews transition the pedestrian paths to the center median on the bridge.  This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

Signed detours will be in place, directing motorists to utilize the Garden of the Gods and Fontanero exits on I-25 while the closure is in place.

All lanes of Fillmore Street reopen to traffic by 5:30 a.m. Friday.

When the new path opens, pedestrians will enter the interchange at the first traffic signal and cross over onto the center median.  Then they will continue to the second traffic signal, which will transition them back to either side of Fillmore Street and onto the original pattern.

The Project Team thanks you for your patience as it continues to work on improvements along the corridor.
