I-70 reconstruction from Seibert to Vona begins in mid-March

March 10, 2016 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Work to continue through June.

KIT CARSON COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation has announced that new work on a four-mile stretch of Interstate 70 between Seibert and Vona is set to begin mid-March 2016 and will last through the end of June. The project includes concrete overlay as well as shoulder and guardrail improvements in both directions of I-70 between Mile Points 410.9 and 406.9.

Initially there will be various single-lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-70 as crews place embankment material and asphalt base. Traffic will be moved into a head-to-head configuration to allow for reconstruction of the unused lanes to be completed. The construction work will be done during daylight hours Monday through Saturday, with occasional Sunday work anticipated. Please use caution and stay alert while traveling through the construction zone.
