CDOT Hosts Open House for Future Project (Meeting Location Correction)

ALAMOSA COUNTY - The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will host an open house next week to outline construction designs for the planned improvements to the intersection of US Highway 160 and CO State Highway 17.

County Administration Building, 8900 Independence Way, Alamosa 

CDOT officials stressed the importance of gathering public opinion during these early stages of the planning process. Keith Magowan, CDOT project engineer (Alamosa area) said, “The public will be shown several conceptual designs developed for the intersection. We want to hear what their preferences are and what they think about all the proposed options.”

Construction on the intersection is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2017. The purpose of the project includes improved safety, business access and multi-modal features.
