CDOT Offering Broncos Fans a Safe, Convenient Alternative to Driving: Bustang® to Broncos Special Service Line to Operate for October Home Games

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is beginning a special Bustang® service to transport Broncos fans from Colorado Springs and Fort Collins to Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Bustang to Broncos will provide a safe, convenient and economical travel alternative to the games with the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 9 and San Diego Chargers on Oct. 30.

"Broncos Country extends well beyond the Denver area. Fans come from around the state to cheer on their team," says CDOT Director of Transit and Rail Mark Imhoff. "Bustang to Broncos will allow fans from the northern and southern Front Range to enjoy the game day experience without the stress of driving."

CDOT Bus Operations Manager Michael Timlin adds, "We worked closely with our partners at the Regional Transportation District (RTD) and the Denver Broncos to arrange a convenient drop-off and pick-up location close to the stadium. Bustang will arrive approximately 90 minutes before kick off so fans have plenty of time to enjoy the pre-game festivities."

CDOT's interregional express bus service Bustang® helps further CDOT's commitment to traffic safety and multi-modal options, fulfilling a key responsibility to alleviate congestion and offer more travel choices for longer-distance commuters on the state's major corridors.

Bustang celebrated its one-year anniversary in July, reporting a steady increase in riders on all routes along the Interstate 25 and 70 corridors. Climate controlled coaches equipped with WiFi access, bathrooms, USB outlets, power outlets, comfortable seats, and wheelchair access have helped Bustang exceed expectations in both ridership and revenue.
