Full Closure of Ramp to Occur on Interstate 25 for Overlay Project

September 28, 2016 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - The closure will last over the weekend of September 30 to October 3

EL PASO COUNTY —The Interstate 25 Overlay and MLK Bypass project will include a full-ramp closure for weekend work between Friday, September 30 and Monday, October 3. Work will include milling and paving of the ramp and bridge.

The westbound Highway 24 on-ramp to southbound I-25 will be fully closed beginning on Friday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. and reopen on Monday, October 3 at 5:00 a.m.

A detour will be specified near the project zone rerouting traffic to the Nevada Avenue Exit 140 during the westbound Hwy 24 on-ramp full closure. A U-turn movement at Exit 140 upon exiting westbound Highway 24 onto northbound I-25 will allow traffic to reenter southbound I-25. Attached is a map that describes the detour during the full ramp closure.

Motorists need to be aware of possible traffic stops along the roadway. For project updates, please email [email protected] or call the project hotline at (719) 212-0139.
