TRAFFIC ADVISORY: I-70 ramp closures at Peoria Street to start week of September 11

September 9, 2016 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - DENVER COUNTY — On Sunday, September 11, through Saturday, September 17, construction activities continue on the I-70 over Havana Street Bridge Replacement Project.

Closure eastbound I-70 off-ramp and on-ramp at Peoria Street

On Monday, September 12, the eastbound I-70 off-ramp at Peoria Street will close to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.for road resurfacing.

Starting Tuesday, September 13, the eastbound I-70 on-ramp from Peoria Street will close for road resurfacing from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Closure westbound I-70 off-ramp and on-ramp at Peoria Street

Overnight Wednesday, September 14, the westbound I-70 off-ramp to Peoria Street will close to all traffic from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for road resurfacing.

Beginning Thursday, September 15, the westbound I-70 on-ramp at Peoria Street will close for road resurfacing from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. 

DETOUR ROUTE

To detour around Peoria Street ramp closures, traffic will be directed to Havana Street exit north to East 47th Avenue back to Peoria Street. On-ramp traffic will be directed to the same detour route in reverse to enter I-70.

To safely facilitate bridge reconstruction, the westbound I-70 on-ramp from Havana Street is closed to motorists and pedestrians. To ensure the safety of the traveling public, pedestrians, cyclists and workers, the ramp will remain closed until late December 2016.

This work is weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change.
