**TRAVEL ALERT UPDATE** Travelers to Encounter Brief Delays on US 550 Red Mt. Pass Today
September 22, 2016 - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - Motorists traveling on US Highway 550, Red Mt. Pass will encounter single-lane alternating traffic today, Thurs. Sept. 22.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be repairing a portion of the road just south of Ouray near Bear Creek (mile post 91). Brief delays can be expected.
Red Mt. Pass was closed intermittently yesterday, Wed. Sept. 21, while crews recovered a piece of heavy equipment which fell off the roadway during a milling and patching operation. No one was injured.
