US 85 and CO 392 Lucerne work to begin Monday

September 14, 2016 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Project completion scheduled for November 2017

LUCERNE – The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin construction on US 85 and CO 392 on September 19. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can expect lane closures and lane shifts during the course of the project.

The project includes bridge construction and bridge deck repairs over the Greeley No. 2 Canal and culvert cleaning.

Drivers should be prepared for lane shifts and lane closures throughout the project area. Speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph, and vehicles wider than 12 feet will be restricted through the work zone. 

The project is expected to finish in November 2017. Work hours could be extended or additional weekend closures could be scheduled.   

The prime contractor for the $14.8 million project is SEMA Construction.
