TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Full closure scheduled on I-70 eastbound from Kipling Street to Wadsworth Boulevard

November 17, 2016 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - JEFFERSON COUNTY— Eastbound Interstate 70 from Kipling Street to Wadsworth Boulevard will be closed starting Sunday, Nov. 20 at 11 p.m. through Monday, Nov. 21 at 5:30 a.m.

 Closures are necessary to accommodate removal of the existing sign bridge as part of the Garrison Street Bridge Widening project.

The purpose of this project is to widen the Garrison Bridge to allow for extra time to merge from the eastbound Kipling on-ramp to I-70.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

Motorists traveling eastbound on I-70 will be directed to take the Kipling Street off-ramp. Signs will direct motorists east on West 44th Avenue and north on Wadsworth Boulevard to the eastbound I-70 on-ramp.

To access eastbound I-70 from the south on Kipling Street, motorists will be directed east on West 44th Avenue and north on Wadsworth Boulevard to the eastbound I-70 on-ramp.

To access I-70 eastbound from the north on Kipling Street, motorists will be directed north to West 58th Avenue/Ralston Road. Signs will direct traffic east on West 58th Avenue and south on Wadsworth Boulevard to the eastbound I-70 on-ramp.

Hamilton Construction Co. is the contractor for this $2.5 million project.
