I-25 Pinon Northbound Rest Area to Temporarily Close

Nov. 6, 2017 - Rest Area closure expected to last three days

PUEBLO—From 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, crews will close the I-25 Pinon Northbound Rest Area as they replace a pipe that houses the rest area's grinding unit.

The grinding unit, which helps break down waste, could fail if the corroded pipe isn't replaced. Repairing now will eliminate the need for an extended closure in the future, if the unit were to fail.

The closure of the northbound rest area is unrelated to the long-term closure of the southbound rest area.

Thank you for your patience. Remember to obey all traffic signs and flaggers and please go slow for the cone zone.
