Crews to Complete Paving Nov. 24-28 on US 160 and Southbound I-25 Ramps (Exit 52)

Nov. 20, 2017 -

From Friday, Nov. 24 through Tuesday, Nov. 28, crews expect to complete paving on US Highway 160 and the southbound I-25 ramps near Walsenburg (exit 52). This work will require lane closures and shoulder closures, and may cause delays of up to 15 minutes.

Once the paving is complete, the project will enter its final phase with crews working on installing signs and seeding. That work is scheduled to be completed by month's end.

Traffic Impacts

  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 through Wednesday, Nov. 25:
Crews will work on US 160, from mile points 294 to 296.5, south of Walsenburg, and on the southbound I-25 ramps (exit 52). This work will require lane closures and intermittent traffic stops of 15 minutes on US 160.
  • From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25, crews will pave the I-25 off ramps. Expect single-lane closures. Work on US 160 will require shoulder closures through the construction area during working hours.

Please use caution and slow down while driving in the area, and be aware of maintenance workers and heavy equipment on and along the roadway.

All work is weather dependent, and the schedule is subject to change. Road conditions can change quickly this time of year.
