CO 52 Closed Near Tri-Town Area due to Collapsed Culvert

SOUTHWEST WELD COUNTY—
Colorado Highway 52 has been shut down in both directions at mile point 15, east of Dacono and Frederick, due to a collapsed culvert.

CDOT crews are working on fixing the problem and setting up a local detour around the damage. The detours are expected to be in place until the culvert can be repaired. No estimate for repair is available until crews can determine the best repair.

CO 52 is a busy route, connecting I-25 and US 85 through Dacono and Fort Lupton. The local detours for the closure will add approximately 5 minutes to your commute.

Detours

  • Westbound traffic
    Take County Road 17 to CR 15; to CR 12; and then back to CO 52.
  • Eastbound traffic
    Take County Road 12 to CR 15; to CR 17; to CO 52.
