Westbound I-70 Closed Overnight Aug. 26-30 West of Floyd Hill

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY—Starting at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26, crews will begin repairing the westbound I-70 bridge over Clear Creek at mile point (MP) 244. At 9 p.m., crews will extend the single-lane closure to a full highway closure. This work schedule will continue overnight through the morning of Friday, Aug. 31. All lanes will reopen by 7 a.m. each morning.

Full closure start and end times may vary depending on traffic and weather. The detour is immediately adjacent to the work zone and only minor delays are expected.

Detour

The detour route for the westbound I-70 full closure at MP 244:

  1. All traffic must use exit 244.
  2. Turn left at US 6 to access westbound I-70.
  3. Merge onto westbound I-70.

Project Info

CDOT and Structures Inc. are rehabilitating three bridges on I-70 in Clear Creek and Jefferson counties this summer. Bridge work includes repairing the concrete decks, installing new waterproofing membranes, repairing bridge joints and placing new asphalt. Repairs are nearly complete at the westbound I-70 bridge over Soda Creek Road near MP 249. The total construction cost is approximately $1.5 million. Funding is provided by the Construction Bridge Program (CBP).
