Closure of I-25 Northbound off-ramp at City Center Drive/Exit 98B

PUEBLO —The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and contractor Flatiron Constructors, Inc. are closing the northbound I-25 off-ramp at City Center Drive/Exit 98B at 5 p.m. Thursday, February 8 for approximately three months.

Leading up to the ramp closure there will be northbound and southbound I-25 left lane closures Tuesday, February 6 and Wednesday, February 7 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for barrier removal. There will also be a northbound I-25 left lane closure at City Center Drive Thursday, February 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for construction activites needed for the upcoming ramp closure and traffic shift. Minimal delays are expected.

Northbound I-25 motorists wishing to exit at City Center Drive/Exit 98B can exit at D Street/Exit 98A. To access City Center Drive from D Street, motorists can turn right from D Street onto Santa Fe Avenue (US 50C) and travel .65 miles north to City Center Drive. Delays are expected, and motorists are urged to use caution when utilizing the suggested detour.

PROJECT INFORMATION: The I-25 Ilex Street to City Center Drive project is the first project of the New Pueblo Freeway: the reconstruction of I-25 between City Center Drive (1st Street) and Ilex Street through downtown Pueblo. Construction includes upgrading several bridges south of downtown. The project began in July 2015, and is scheduled to be complete by spring 2019.
