CDOT to Start Improving I-70 Ramps Nov. 19 in Grand Junction

MESA COUNTY—On Monday, Nov. 19, crews will begin upgrading ramps at three locations on I-70 to ensure they comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). Work—expected to be complete in March 2019—will be performed on I-70 at 24 Road, Broadway and Rice Street, and Pitkin and Ute avenues.

Work includes improving curb ramps, curb, gutter and sidewalks, all of which will comply with Public Right of Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG).

Schedule & Travel Impacts

  • Working hours will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Fridays
  • No major traffic impacts are expected.

The contractor selected for this $523,000 project is KSK, LLC, of Grand Junction.
