Crews Cancel Nov. 27 Closure of Red Mountain Pass

SOUTHWEST COLORADO—Crews have postponed a Nov. 27 closure of US Highway 550 Red Mountain Pass and will perform the previously scheduled electrical line work at a date to be announced.

Travel Impacts

• For the remainder of the week, through Saturday, Dec. 1, work will continue on the Ruby Walls cliff face just south of Ouray.
• From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., motorists will encounter periodic short closures of up to 20 minutes.
• Motorists should watch for flaggers and be prepared for traffic stops.
• The road will return to regular two-way traffic every evening, until construction resumes the following morning.
