Expect Right-Lane Closure on US 50 at Pueblo Boulevard Week of Nov. 4

Nov. 2, 2018 -

PUEBLO COUNTY—
Travelers on US 50 between Pueblo and Pueblo West can expect continued changes to traffic patterns the week of Nov. 4. The new highway alignment is in its final stages and, depending on weather, traffic is expected to be flowing fully in the new alignment within the next few weeks.

From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 4 through 9, crews will reduce the westbound lanes to one as they pave and complete the connection of the new on-ramp to US 50.

No left or right turns will be permitted at the intersection of Pueblo Boulevard (Colorado Highway 45) and the new westbound US 50. Westbound US 50 motorists who want to access southbound Pueblo Boulevard must use the new off-ramp to access the intersection at Pueblo Boulevard. For several months, that new off-ramp to Pueblo Boulevard has been used as part of the westbound US 50 mainline. Now, the ramps will be used only as ramps to and from Pueblo Boulevard.

Northbound traffic on Pueblo Boulevard will remain in its existing configuration.

Highway speed limits are reduced to 45 mph throughout the project work zone. The speed limit on the new on- and off-ramps has also been reduced to 35 mph.
