Expect Single-Lane Traffic on US 24 from Cascade to Manitou Springs Nov. 16

Nov. 14, 2018 -

EL PASO COUNTY—From 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, crews will pave the eastbound shoulder of US Highway 24 from Cascade to the City of Manitou Springs (from mile points 294 to 301).

Crews aim to complete work before an anticipated winter storm moves in on Saturday. Rockfall mitigation work, which started in June, is expected to be complete by the end of November.

Travel Impacts

Expect a single-lane, head-to-head traffic configuration in the westbound lane, reduced speed limits, extended commute times for congestion in the work zone, and an 11-foot width restriction during working hours. Bicyclists are discouraged from riding through the construction zone during hours of operations.
