SOUTHWEST COLORADO—Starting Monday, Sept. 10 and continuing through November, crews will install a new concrete box culvert on Colorado Highway 151 in Allison, 13 miles east of Ignacio (mile points 13 to 14).

Travel Impacts

  • Through November, expect one-lane alternating traffic as crews remove the old double culverts, install the new concrete box culvert, and pave. A temporary traffic signal and flaggers will direct traffic.
  • Motorists will drive on a temporary road adjacent to the work site.
  • Local residents will maintain access to CO 151 via the temporary side road.
  • Work hours: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Fridays

Travelers are urged to:

  • Obey speed reductions of 35 mph. Fines are doubled in the work zone.
  • Obey the oversized restrictions of vehicles 12 feet or wider.
  • Use caution. Please consider the safety of motorists and of the construction crews when traveling through the project construction zone.
