TRAFFIC ADVISORY:  Overnight Lane Closures of Northbound and Southbound I-25

February 20, 2019 - Southeastern Colorado

Colorado Springs – On Thursday night, February 21, there will be double-lane closures of southbound and northbound I-25 for striping and grinding.

Overnight double-lane closure of northbound and southbound I-25 between Garden of the Gods and Woodmen Roads for striping and grinding.

  • 9 p.m. – 5 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 21

  • There may be only one through lane in this area. Use extreme caution.

Construction schedules are subject to change based on weather/unforeseen circumstances. Speed reduction to 55 mph in construction zone during the duration of the project.

PROJECT INFORMATION: The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has initiated a bridge and driving surface preventative maintenance project on ten bare concrete bridges near the Interstate-25 Rockrimmon interchange that will improve safety and ride quality. This project is part of the ongoing CDOT Asset Management / Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program that began approximately ten years ago to extend the life of the state’s bridge structures to 75 years.
