CDOT to Replace Culvert on CO 15 South of Monte Vista

March 21, 2019 - Southwestern Colorado - Highway will be completely closed, motorists required to use detour

DURANGO ― The Colorado Department of Transportation will replace an aged culvert on Colorado Highway 15 approximately three miles south of Monte Vista. The work, scheduled for the last week of March, will require a full closure of the roadway. A detour via Rio Grande County roads has been identified for through traffic.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

CO 15 will be fully closed at mile point 3, just south of County Road 2 S. No through traffic will be allowed through the work zone at any time. Tentative dates for this three-day project are Tuesday, March 26 through Thursday, March 28.

Travelers and local residents will be required to use a detour route via county roads (see map below):
