Current Design on CO 9 (South to North)
Valley Brook Street: SH 9 intersection with Valley Brook Street. This is the south end and beginning of the widening project. This will join the SH 9 improvements already constructed. thumbnail image Valley Brook Street
Rec Path: SH 9 and the Blue River east of the Airport Open Space parcel north of the Town of Breckenridge. thumbnail image Rec Path
Coyne Valley Road: Intersection of SH 9 and Coyne Valley Road. Blue River is to the west. thumbnail image Coyne Valley Road
Approach to Fairview from South: SH 9 and Fairview Boulevard intersection to the north. Note Stan Miller Gravel Pit operations towards the northwest. thumbnail image Approach to Fairview from South
Tiger Run and Four Mile Bridge: Intersection of SH 9 with Tiger Run. Note that SH 9 crosses over the Blue River. A new bridge will be constructed to accommodate the four lanes. The pedestrian bridge will remain. thumbnail image Tiger Run and Four Mile Bridge
Tiger Road: SH 9 intersection with Tiger Road. Note the mix of residential, recreational, commercial and industrial uses of land adjacent to SH 9. Although the template is already four lanes, a depressed median will be added to separate travel lanes traveling north and south bound. thumbnail image Tiger Road
Gold Hill: Looking north on SH 9 approaching Gold Hill. The raised recreation path to the west is on a retaining wall and is separated from traffic. thumbnail image Gold Hill
Game Underpass: A wildlife crossing was considered at this location just north of Gold Hill; however, the location was determined to be undesirable due to challenges associated with easement preservation, access to the crossing by wildlife, and relatively low recorded accident history. thumbnail image Game Underpass
Dickey and Jarelle Drives: Looking north on SH 9. Dickey Drive and Jarelle Drive intersections lead to local residential developments. thumbnail image Dickey and Jarelle Drives
Farmers Corner: SH 9 provides access to various residential and commerical areas. Summit High School and the Breckenridge Sanitation District are to the north. thumbnail image Farmers Corner
Swan Mountain Road: SH 9 intersection with Swan Mountain Road. This is the north end of the project widening from Valley Brook Street. Note the Summit County High School to the West and the Breckenridge Sanitation District to the east. thumbnail image Swan Mountain Road
