C470 - Wadsworth Boulevard to I-70 NEPA & Preliminary Design

About the Project

The C-470: Wadsworth Boulevard to I-70 project is a corridor improvements project that is working towards the preliminary design and environmental analysis phase. The design team will be working in parallel with an HPTE Level 2 Traffic and Revenue study through 2020 to advance the concept design of the Proposed Action prior to NEPA. Previously this project has been analyzed or referenced in the West Connection Coalition PEL Study (2018), C-470 Corridor Revised Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI): Kipling Parkway to Interstate 25 (I-25) (2015), and the HPTE Express Lanes Master Plan (ELMP) Study (2020).

The corridor improvements include express lanes through the corridor, potential improvements to the interchanges along the corridor, and other focused elements including wildlife crossings, environmental mitigation, technology and system management upgrades, and bicycle and pedestrian improvements. The Proposed Action will be refined and advanced as the project moves through NEPA.
