2004 Draft PEIS

The I-70 Mountain Corridor Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) was made available for public comment on December 10, 2004.

In response to public requests, the original 90-day comment period was extended an additional 75 days, closing May 24, 2005. Thirteen public hearings were held throughout the corridor, resulting in numerous comments from diverse stakeholders.

Following the completion of the Collaborative Effort, CDOT and FHWA began revising the 2004 Draft PEIS due to the length of time that had elapsed since its release in 2004 and changes in information that had occurred.
