*Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of Transportation Act of 1966 requires consideration of parks, recreation areas, refuges, and historic sites in transportation projects. The Federal Highway Administration intends to make a de minimis impact finding for South Platte River Trail, Sand Creek Trail, and Dahlia Trailhead. A de minimis impact is one that, after taking into account avoidance, minimization, mitigation and enhancement measures, results in no adverse effect to the activities, features, or attributes qualifying a park, recreation area or refuge for protection under Section 4(f). Public review and comment on the project's effects on these properties is required.
