Public Invited to Old Ranch Road Open House

January 6, 2014 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - Unique Detour required to maintain access to high school, residential areas.

COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is holding an open house this week regarding the upcoming interchange construction project on Powers Boulevard (State Highway 21) at Old Ranch Road.

It will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015, in the Pine Creek High School auditorium, 10750 Thunder Mountain Ave (northeast corner of Powers/Old Ranch Road intersection), from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Representatives from CDOT and the project contractor, Wild Cat Construction, will be on hand for questions and comments regarding the project, including the construction schedule, traffic impacts for residents and businesses, and access for bicyclists and pedestrians.

The project includes a unique detour to allow continuous access to and from the high school and residential areas east of Powers Boulevard during construction.

Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-January.

Reasonable accommodations will be provided for persons with disabilities or language barriers.  Please contact CDOT’s Leslie Alexander at 719-227-3200 or e-mail [email protected] if you require such assistance.
