Emergency Pothole Repairs Today

May 21, 2015 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is filling potholes today on northbound and southbound Interstate 25 between South Academy Boulevard and Woodmen Road.

Beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until early afternoon, drivers should be prepared for single lane closures and traffic slowdowns and delays at various locations along the corridor as CDOT Maintenance shutdowns a single lane at a time to repair numerous potholes that have formed from the recent wet weather.

“We know it’ll create some traffic backups but for the safety of the traveling public as well as keeping drivers from damaging their vehicles, we have to get this done as soon as possible,” said CDOTMaintenance Foreman Kenny Quintana.  “Because we’ve gotten so much rain lately, this will be our primary focus until this wet weather pattern we’re in comes to an end.”
