Night work will close US 6 at Brush Creek next week

July 22, 2015 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - I-70 suggested as alternate route.

EAGLE COUNTY – On Tuesday, July 28, US 6 over Brush Creek will experience a full nighttime closure as crews lift and place girders for bridge construction.  The full closure will begin at 10:00 p.m. and is expected to last until Wednesday morning, July 29, at approximately 6:00 a.m. The length of the closure will begin at the Sylvan Lake Road roundabout and end at Earhart Drive on the west. Travelers should plan on utilizing I-70 during this time.

The continued focus of this project involves replacing the bridge at US 6, MP 148.35 over Brush Creek. The project includes installation of a new culvert in Hockett Gulch. Project boundaries begin at MP 148 and end at MP 149. Work also includes the addition of fortified embankments, paving and striping. This 3.8 million dollar project was awarded to Ralph L. Wadsworth of Draper, Utah and is scheduled to be complete by mid-November 2015.
