I-25 Express Lanes Closed Again This Weekend

August 28, 2015 - Metro Denver/CDOT Region 1 - Work underway tonight.

DENVER – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close the I-25 Express Lanes from downtown Denver to US 36 beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28 and reopening at 5 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31. The closure is necessary for paving and bridge work in the area.

Rehabilitating the 20th Street Bridge over I-25 continues and requires the lanes on the bridge to be narrowed and shifted to accommodate the bridge construction, Mondays through Fridays.

Work is scheduled through mid-September.  If night work is necessary, it will be limited to a specific distance away from any residents to try to minimize noise disruption. For all Rockies home games, the structure will remain open to outbound traffic for two hours after the game ends.
