Traffic signal replacement work to commence today in Steamboat Springs

September 15, 2015 - TRAFFIC ALERT - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - ROUTT COUNTY/STEAMBOAT SPRINGS —Contractors for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will replace a damaged traffic signal on the northwest corner of US 40 and 9th Street in Steamboat Springs tomorrow, September 15.

The signal pole was damaged recently when a vehicle struck the pole causing a 20” crack in the structure.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Today’s repairs will begin at 9:00 a.m. and are expected to last 6-8 hours.

Traffic control will be in place and motorists can expect four lanes of traffic running as the left lane turn lanes will be used for through traffic.  Motorists should expect two closures of 10-15 minutes later in the day as the mast arms are replaced and for safety reasons traffic will be held.
