CDOT and Local Officials to Celebrate North I-25 Express Lanes Extension Groundbreaking

Who: The Colorado Department of Transportation, Transportation Commissioners, and local elected officials

What: To celebrate the start of construction on the North I-25 Express Lanes project from 120th Avenue to Northwest Parkway/E-470, CDOT will host a groundbreaking ceremony.

The North I-25 Express Lanes project will expand the capacity of north I-25 by adding one Express Lane in each direction. In addition, the project will resurface the existing lanes along the six-mile stretch.

Where: The ceremony will take place in a dirt field at the construction site; appropriate shoes are recommended. From I-25 take the 144th Avenue exit and head east. Turn left onto Washington Street, keeping left at the fork to continue on Washington Street. Take the first entrance on the left then turn right onto the dirt road leading into the construction site. Look for signs that say "CDOT Event."
