Crews to Close US 550 - Red Mountain Pass 7:30 a.m. - Noon Wednesday, April 5 for Avalanche Control Work

SOUTHWEST COLORADO–US Highway 550, Red Mountain Pass, will be closed from 7:30 a.m. - noon on Wednesday, April 5 from mile point (MP) 92—two miles south of Ouray—to MP 87, Ironton. Mountain maintenance personnel with CDOT will be testing avalanche control equipment with crews on the ground and by helicopter.
