Crews to Close East 15th Street at Main Avenue Tomorrow for US 160/550 Concrete Rehab Project

Business access remains open.

DURANGO—
From 5 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, March 15 to noon on Thursday, March 16, the one-block section on East 15th Street at Main Avenue will be closed to all traffic while crews remove and replace concrete panels at the east corners of that intersection. This closure will allow for the work to take place and new concrete to cure at this intersection.

NOTE: Motorists will be able to access the businesses on either side of East 15th Street, and can also access both directions on East 2nd Avenue from East 15th Street.

Travel Impacts & March Work Hours

Through the end of March, motorists can continue to expect some short lane closures and lane shifts in various areas along the US 550 corridor (Camino del Rio and north Main Avenue), between the Doubletree Hotel and Animas View Drive. No work is expected on the short concrete section of US 160 west to the Durango Tech Center.

Crews are removing and replacing damaged concrete panels, and allowing additional time for new concrete to cure. While some work areas will remain closed overnight for concrete curing, traffic control will be set up from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
