TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Emergency repairs scheduled for Castle Creek Bridge on Thursday

March 7, 2017 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - ASPEN/PITKIN COUNTY – On Thursday, March 9, Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) specialty unit crews will be performing emergency bridge joint repair work on the eastbound (Aspen inbound) lane of Colorado Highway 82’s Castle Creek bridge.

The work is weather dependent and will be from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. If work to repair the joint is not completed on Thursday then crews will resume the repairs on Friday.

ALTERNATE ROUTE: Commercial truck traffic and RFTA buses will still use the bridge and will be guided through the project by traffic control.  All other vehicular traffic will use the alternate route in place--CO 82 westbound traffic will exit at north 6th Street to west Smuggler Street, heading west to Power Plant Road to Cemetery Lane and back to CO 82.
