TRAFFIC ALERT : CDOT to Stripe US 160/550 at Bodo Park in Durango

October 19, 2017 - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - Travel to be impacted for three days

LA PLATA COUNTY ― The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be re-striping lines on US Highway (US) 160 in the Bodo Park area of south Durango next week. The striping operation will take place on Monday, October 23 from the north end of Bodo Park (La Plata County Road 210) to the south end of Bodo Park (Turner Drive). Painting of the lanes and pavement markings will be done on US 160 and on the frontage roads east and west of the highway corridor.

HIGHWAY TRAVEL IMPACTS: On Monday, October 23 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., motorists will encounter a slow moving operation of striping equipment and support vehicles on US 160 and frontage roads in and around the Bodo Park area. Motorists should use caution, slow down and follow driving instructions on the electronic message boards mounted on the striping vehicles and equipment. Fresh paint remains wet on the pavement for a period of time after it is sprayed, so motorists are urged to drive slowly through the area. The traveling public is also reminded to be aware of maintenance workers and heavy equipment on and along the roadway.
