CDOT continues traffic signal face replacement project

September 11, 2017 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - Silverthorne, Frisco, and Breckenridge are next on the list

SUMMIT COUNTY- A project to update traffic signals continues today in Silverthorne followed by Frisco and Breckenridge in a few weeks. The traffic signal face replacement project will maintain and update the current transportation and pedestrian safety system.  The work includes replacing traffic signal indicators, select traffic signal heads, pedestrian signal faces, select pedestrian count down heads, and select pedestrian pushbuttons.  Work is scheduled to last several weeks in each location.

PROJECT LOCATIONS and DATES:

Monday, September 11: The project will be in Silverthorne on US 6 and I-70 eastbound ramps, Stephens, Little Bear, Anemone, Dillion Dam (CR 7), Lake Dillion (Evergreen) and Hwy 9 and I-70 westbound ramps, Wilderness (Rainbow), 4th, 6th, Annie, and Hamilton Creek.

Monday, September 25:  The project will be in Frisco and Breckenridge on Hwy 9 and Copper Rd, US 6F and Swan Mt. Cove, Keystone (Tennis Club, and Snake River Fire, and Hwy 9 and Swan Mtn. (CR 1), Peak One Dr - Recreation (CR 1005), Peak One Blvd (Waterdance), Main (Marina) School Rd (CR 1040), Hawn Dr (10 Mile Rd), Ten Mil Dr (Wal-Mart), Lusher (Dillion Dam Rd), Boreas Pass, South Park, Ski Hill Rd, Airport, Huron (CR 450) Valley Brk (Highlands) Coyne Valley, and Tiger Rd (Shores Ln).

TRAVEL AND ACCESS IMPACTS:  Motorists can expect delays with mobile closures and some single lane closures.  The project will be in operation Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The contractor selected for this $1.25 million job is Sturgeon Electric
