Expect Long Delays on Northbound US 85 at CO 7 Sept. 17-23

BRIGHTON—From 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 through 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, drivers can expect a single-lane closure on northbound US Highway 85 at Colorado Highway 7 over Bridge Street as crews perform bridge rehabilitation work. Please plan for delays in the area.

This work is a part of the US 85: I-76 to 168th Avenue Resurfacing project.

Other Traffic Impacts

While project work is normally scheduled for off-peak travel times, crews are working around the clock after finding rapidly deteriorating pavement in August, when they removed the waterproof membrane on the bridge.

Project Info

Crews on this $10.2 million project will resurface and repair pavement and bridges on US 85 from I-76 to 168th Avenue. The project also includes guardrail and cable barrier installation, and traffic signal, signing and striping updates. These updates will significantly improve travel safety along this corridor.
