Traffic Advisory: I-70 Westbound Lanes Closed from 32nd to 44th for Emergency Repair Overnight

September 12, 2017 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Motorists should prepare for delays on I-70 westbound at 32nd to 44th tonight through early tomorrow morning.

Crews are having to take another lane after finding the pavement surface on this stretch of  I-70 to be deteriorating rapidly and needs immediate repairs.

Work now requires two lanes of I-70 westbound to close for crews to rehab the bridge deck.

This may cause traffic back-ups for Bronco football traffic as cars leave the game tonight.  CDOT has electronic signage up to warn of traffic delays.  Work should be completed 5:30 am tomorrow.

Project info:  Last month, crews began repairing and repaving deteriorated bridge decks and traffic lanes along I-70 over Ward Road, between 32nd and 44th avenues in Jefferson County. This work will extend the lifespan of I-70, creating a smoother and safer ride.
