TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Intermittent traffic stops planned on CO 60 starting this week

January 28,2019 - Northeastern Colorado - Motorists should expect delays of 15 minutes; alternate routes are recommended.

MILLIKEN – Drivers can expect traffic stops and delays on eastbound and westbound Colorado Highgway 60, east of Milliken (MP 15.2-16.3) starting mid-this week. CDOT will perform traffic stops of up to 15 minutes about eight times a day. Weather permitting, this operation will be completed by Friday, Feb. 8.

The traffic stops are necessary for the safety of the traveling public, as crews install the new bridge girder over the South Platte River. We apologize for this inconvenience and encourage motorists to use alternate routes:

  • Motorists east of the project area should use Weld County Road (WCR) 13

  • Motorists west of the project area should use US 85

A detour is currently in place, as WCR 46 is closed to through-traffic. The closure barricades are at MP 15.5 on the west side of CO 60. Traffic trying to access westbound WCR 46 should detour onto WCR 25 - a detour of about two miles. Eastbound traffic will use this detour in reverse.

Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
