TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Overnight Closure of Northbound I-25 Near City Center Drive

January 2, 2019 - On Thursday, January 3, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., there will be a full closure of Northbound I-25, between D Street/Exit 98A and City Center Drive/Exit 98B. The northbound I-25 D Street on-ramp will also be closed during this time.

Northbound motorists will exit I-25 at D Street/Exit 98A, in order to travel north on Santa Fe Avenue to the northbound on-ramp at City Center Drive. See map for detour route.

The closure is required for the safe installation of a large overhead sign. Please use caution in the construction zone and pay attention to posted speed limits.

All work is weather dependent.

PROJECT INFORMATION: The I-25 Ilex Street to City Center Drive project is the first project of the New Pueblo Freeway: the reconstruction of I-25 between City Center Drive (1st Street) and Ilex Street through downtown Pueblo. Construction includes upgrading several bridges south of downtown. The project began in July 2015, and is scheduled to be complete by spring 2019.
