Budtender Education and Resources

As a cannabis industry worker, you are a trusted voice for cannabis consumers. Our goal is to provide information and resources so you can help educate your customers about the laws and dangers of driving high.

Since legalization in Colorado, CDOT has partnered with cannabis companies and cannabis trade organizations statewide and nationally. We believe working together is the only way to change the behavior of the cannabis-consuming public and reduce the number of impaired driving crashes and fatalities on Colorado roads.

Please follow the link below to access our interactive training course, hosted by cannabis-industry education platform Learn Brands. The course is totally free and can be completed in 30 minutes or less. You will earn a certificate of completion, which can be shared with your current or future employers.

Should you decide not to participate, please take away these three things:

  1. Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal in Colorado and can get you a DUI, no different than driving drunk.
  2. It is scientifically proven that cannabis impairment effects critical physical and mental functions needed to drive safely.
  3. Please, encourage your friends and loved ones never to drive high.
