105-3-fy22a

105.20 - Contractor Engineers are reluctant to stamp "In-Kind" repairs on existing structures when damage occurs. Contractor have expressed concern over the ambiguity of who is liable for repairs that are performed. This is just clarifying what current practice already is. This is not intended to relieve them of responsibility of quality of work.

105-4-fy22

Updating the Project First Specification to provide clarification on the workshop frequency and required tools.
Also, propose that this specification become a Standard instead of a Project Special.
Feedback was gathered from CDOT engineering staff, PDAC members, the CDOT/CCA/FHWA Transportation Policy Committee, and Project First facilitators.

106-2-fy22

Upcoming revisions to 106.11, Buy America (CURRENTLY NO DRAFT SPEC)
With the passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act last November, there are some necessary (required) changes that need to be made to our Buy America requirements. We are required to have these changes ready to go by November 10th of this year. In short, Buy America will no longer just focus on Steel and Iron, but will have to also incorporate other construction materials as well. Those construction materials are to include articles, materials, or supplies that consist primarily of: • non-ferrous metals; • plastic and polymer based products; • glass; • lumber; • drywall.
