  • Tuesday, January 22, 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. – right lane closed eastbound; 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday – eastbound I-70 closed.  Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction through the westbound bore.
  • Wednesday, January 23, 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. – right lane closed eastbound; noon to 3 p.m. – left lane closed westbound; 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday – eastbound I-70 closed.  Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction through the westbound bore.

The speed limit is reduced to 35 mph while the traffic lanes are reduced.

Adding a third lane to eastbound I-70 from east Idaho Springs to the bottom of Floyd Hill is part of CDOT’s strategy at reducing congestion along one of the state’s busiest corridors which, in turn, will improve gas mileage and air quality.
